Webinar “ Qualitative And Quantitative Research Methods”
A webinar on “ qualitative and quantitative research methods” was conducted in the department on 21/07/2020. The resource person of the session was Prof. Dr. Baby Shari, department of Psychology Calicut university campus. The coordinators of the event were Mrs. Angel Maria, and e-certificates were provided for the participants. the programme was lived on ZOOM and YOUTUBE. The event was jointly hosted by Psychology students association and department of psychology LISSAH Kaithapoyil Kozhikode.
World Mental Health Day Observation 2020
In connection with WMHD observation dept. organized wide range of programmes in both online and offline modes on 10/10/2020, 11/10/2020. In online mode faculties coordinated national level quiz programme for psychology students. A webinar titled “impact of lockdown on mental health ; a psychological perspective by Dr Tulika Ghosh, assi. Prof. dept. of clinical psychology SGT university Hryana. Another webinar on “ psychology in kerala; then and now by Dr. Rajith N.K. Psychologist, president SPSA Kerala. In offline mode the department was blessed with the presence of founder director Fr. Jose Melotkochiyil CST to inaugurate the online counselling services in the Lissah counselling and psychotherapy centre in the college. On the same day Lissah counselling and psychotherapy centre resumed its functioning. The event was coordinated by Dr. Emarson VP. e-certificates were provided for the participants. the programme was lived on ZOOM and YOUTUBE. Dept of psychology observed the international aids day with organizing a webinar named “AIDS Dos and Dont’s”. The resource person was Mr. Helvis V. A session on human physiology
Dept of psychology organized a special session on human physiology titled “ refreshing neural memories” on 01/01/2021. National level webinar on “ organizational psychology; prospectus and challenges in Indian context”
The national level webinar was conducted in the department to widen the knowledge of students about different areas of psychology field on 03/02/2021. Prof. Jina Thomas coordinated the webinar and Mr. Keerthy Kishore, research scholar IIT Bombay was the resource person. e-certificates were provided for the participants. the programme were lived on ZOOM and YOUTUBE. A workshop on SPSS
Dr. Justine K. James, assistant professor. Dept of psychology, university college, Trivandrum facilitated students of the department to grain practical knowledge on SPSS at the auditorium of Lissah campus. The event was happened on 15/02/2021. The event was jointly hosted by Psychology students association and department of psychology LISSAH Kaithapoyil Kozhikode. the session was coordinated by Prof. Christ Joy.
A yoga session
On 18/02/2021 dept of psychology organized a yoga session in the college auditorium for the department students. Ms. Jumana Sherin, Yoga Therapist, Cochin facilitated the participants. the session was coordinated by Prof. Deena K. Varghese. The programme was successful in imparting practical knowledge about yoga to the students in the dept. Community extension work
On 19/03/21 dept of psychology under the supervision of Prof. Biju Mathew and Prof. Geo Kappen conducted an outreach programme at Thonikkadav in Koorachund Panchayath. Students visited houses and educated about mental health and assured free service of LISSAH counselling and psychotherapy center for eligible people.
Institution visit- SANTHWANA De Addiction centre, Kattippara.
Students of the department visited SANTHWANA De Addiction centre, Kattippara, Thamarassery on 19/03/2021. Prof. Biju Mathew and Prof. Geo Kappen coordinated the event. Students got first information about the center and its managerial structure.

Career counselling session on scope of psychology in abroad titled “ASPARENTO” was conducted in the college auditorium on 24/03/2021.
